Projects

The BAEDA Lab has been involved over the years in various projects and research activities at national and international level collaborating with companies, research centers and universities.

  • INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH PROJECTS

The missions of the Politecnico di Torino, including teaching and research, have been extended to the so-called Third Mission, which has been playing a key role in the last years. The Third Mission increased the importance of the strategic role that university has toward the territory and the society. It seeks to generate knowledge outside academic environments to the benefit of the social, cultural and economic development. BAEDA Lab carries out such activities and projects with the main objective to strengthen relationships among University, industry and society.

  • RESEARCH PROJECTS SUPPORTED BY STRUCTURAL AND NATIONAL FUNDS

These projects include a set of research and development activities aimed at reducing the impact of energy systems on the environment and health and allow the rational use of energy resources for the country. The projects are approved by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and implemented with the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA). Other research activities are carried out in the framework of “projects of national interest” funded by the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR) or programs supported by academic institutions (e.g., Alta Scuola Politecnica).

  • INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH PROJECTS

International Research Projects are collaborative research schemes between one or more Universities/companies from foreign countries. They are aimed at conducting joint research activity relevant for the sustainable development of societies. Such projects include EU and Extra EU funded/voluntary initiatives (e.g., IEA annexes).

  • RESEARCH INITIATIVES SUPPORTED BY DENERG OR BAEDA lab

These projects include research initiatives promoted and supported by BAEDA Lab or partially funded by the Energy Department of Politecnico di Torino (DENERG). The projects include both industrial and academic collaborations with the objective of demonstrating the potentialities of EMIS systems in real world and contributing to bridge the gap between energy in buildings and data analytics.
