Cascone Ylenia

Ylenia Cascone graduated in Building Engineering in October 2008 and completed her PhD in Energetics in 2017 at Politecnico di Torino, Italy, where she carried out research activity from 2010 to 2018. Until 2021 she worked for Odys S.r.l. as a control system engineer at General Motors and Punch Torino. Her main fields of expertise are numerical optimization, model predictive control, numerical modelling, responsive building envelope components, phase change materials, building energy retrofitting, laboratory and in-situ experimental activities, data analysis, solar radiation and shading in buildings.

Her research work was published in several international journals. She also collaborated as assistant lecturer in teaching courses on building physics and heating ventilation and air conditioning.

She currently works as freelance consultant and programmer.
